Shipping to the USA

To our American customers:

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced plans to  impose tariffs of 25% on goods from Canada. The executive order also removed the de minimis customs exemption and what was once duty free for the average American is now subject to duties and taxes in addition to tariffs.

As a result of these tariffs, RICK RACK is suspending all shipments to the USA until this trade war is resolved.

How does this affect RICK RACK and our American customers?

Tariffs costs are the responsibility of the person importing those items into the U.S. This drives the prices up for customers, complicates shipping processes, adds to the workload of U.S. Customs, and stifles cross-border business.

It also means that U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) must now inspect every single parcel inbound to the USA to determine country of origin of parcel contents and calculate any qualifying duties and tariffs before it enters the United States Postal Service for delivery. This is creating significant delays in shipping.

Basically, we don’t want to send parcels to you that will have additional costs due to tariffs as well as significant delays in shipping.

We look forward to a positive resolution to Trump’s tariffs and will resume shipping to the United States once this unnecessary trade war is resolved.
